The Macedonian Enterprise Development Foundation (MEDF) and the Business Start-Up Center at the Mechanical Faculty in Skopje (BSC), as a part of the licensed National Team for Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) is proud to invite you to the promotion of the Report on research “Entrepreneurship in Macedonia”.

Promotion will be held on December 29, 2009 (Tuesday) in the hotel “Holiday Inn”, starting at 12 o’clock.

Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) is the largest survey-based study of entrepreneurship in the world and an annual assessment of entrepreneurship at the national level.

Republic of Macedonia is a part of this annual survey for the first time, since it was established in 1999. In the previous year, 43 countries worldwide took a part. GEM aims to measure and compare the differences in the level of early stage entrepreneurial activity of the countries participating in the survey, to uncover factors determining the levels of entrepreneurial activity and to identify policies that may enhance the level of entrepreneurial activity.

GEM methodology includes a survey on public opinion of at least 2000 people within an adult population in Macedonia as well as an interview of 40 national experts on the entrepreneurship framework conditions.
